Boston's Tragic Molasses Incident of '19
On a blustery afternoon in 1919, disaster befell Boston. A massive holding filled with sticky, sweet molasses ruptured sending a wall of of the thick liquid rushing through the streets. The force was catastrophic, crushing buildings and burying residents in a sticky mire. Hundreds of people were fatally injured, and many more sustained injuries.
